Born in 1959, Michele lived with her grandparents just a few miles north of Inwood, Manitoba until she was 6 years old. When she was about five her Sunday School teacher came to visit her grandparents bearing gifts. The teacher brought paper, pencils and crayons; and explained to Michele's grandparents that she felt little Michele had artistic talent. That was the beginning of her journey.

Michele has continued to grow her talent, experimenting in various styles over the years. She is currently in her “Acrylic Expressionist” phase.  Domestic and wild animals are her favourite subjects.  She “signs” some pieces with a bar code, which symbolizes the commercial exploitation of domesticated animals.   Michele also enjoys bringing a sense of humour to her artwork. Over the recent years Michele has been travelling with friends to Winnipeg to take painting with an art professor Milos Milidrag from Bosnia. She does commission work and has donated pieces of art for fundraisers. Currently, Michele is the Past Chairperson for the Eastern Manitoba Artists Co-op and is a member of Selkirk Community Arts Centre. Her work is displayed at the Royal Bank, Medical Clinic, Scoop-a-lot, and a local restaurant in Beausejour, Manitoba. Between working full time and family obligation she has always tried to find time through art classes and getting together with friends to continue to sharpen her artistic talent.
